8am Tee Times on Both Days
In 1950 while attending the University of Florida, Reuben Sharp Williams III – better known as “Bo”, needed one more elective as part of his Physical Education studies. In choosing golf, little did he know of the enduring love for the game he would develop. After college most of Bo’s leisure time from the U.S. Army was spent honing his golfing skills. In 1958 Bo moved to Ocala and produced storied amateur golfing record winning over a 100 tournaments – the most prestigious being the 1986 and 1989 United States Senior Amateur Championships, playing in six USGA Senior Open Championships, and making the cut three times. Bo’s exceptional golf life culminated in 2006 when he was elected into the Florida State Golf Association Hall of Fame. Even though Bo isn’t able to play the game, he can still be seen at the local tournaments as a spectator.
